About the Job


Our team at VS Media is growing, and we are excited to be looking for talent to join our dynamic Javascript Development team.


An ideal candidate would be someone who is motivated, takes pride in their work, is highly organized, and is able to research, plan, and point out any potential issues, edge cases, and scenarios, with the goal of offering the most efficient and straightforward solutions to the task at hand.


NOTE: Some of our properties are adult-oriented. Given that our focus is on highly interactive technology-based products, these are not necessarily your typical adult websites. We pride
ourselves on being an extremely professional company, but candidates must be comfortable with the nature of these properties.


Responsibilities


Our team builds and maintains a variety of both customer-facing and internal tools. Here are just some of the projects and features we work on:



  • Customer-facing single-page applications.
  • Site registration flow.
  • Ads and lander pages.
  • Tracking and analytics tools.
  • Image gallery, image upload tools.
  • Admin tools for task management, contractor subscription and payroll.
  • Billing/payment processing.

Requirements


Minimum of 4 years of professional experience writing JavaScript. Demonstrated knowledge of *plain* JavaScript (no use of framework/libraries).
Experience working on Single Page Applications: architecting Single Page Applications from the maintainability, expandability, reusability, and separation of concerns standpoints.

Experience optimizing page load, SEO.

Experience with application state management.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Working knowledge of GIT.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience planning out feature/application structure (flowcharts, class charts).
  • Experience with other programming languages.
  • Relevant education.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching junior developers, doing code reviews.
